Hi, I'm Alan.

For most of my career, I've worked in the funeral profession, helping families through some of the hardest days of their lives. Day after day, I witnessed grief, loss, love, and the powerful bond that exists between those we cherish and the memories they leave behind.

What many people don't realize is that the same heartbreak families experience when losing a loved one is often felt just as deeply when losing a beloved pet. To many of us, they aren't "just animals"—they are family. They are our best friends, our comfort during difficult times, our loyal companions through life's highs and lows.

My own journey has not always been easy. Like many people, I have experienced loss, hardship, and periods where life tested me in ways I never expected. Those experiences taught me the value of compassion, dignity, and being present for others when they need it most. They also deepened my appreciation for the unconditional love animals give so freely.

The Last Journey Home was created from that understanding.

My mission is simple: to provide families with the same level of care, respect, and dignity for their beloved pets that I have spent years providing to families in the human funeral profession. Every pet entrusted to my care is treated as if they were my own family member. Every memorial keepsake is created with intention, love, and respect for the bond you shared.

Through The Last Journey Home and the memorial artistry of Reliquiae Studios, I hope to help families preserve the memories of the companions who gave us so much love during their time here.
